Eating Seated on the Floor

Eating seated on the floor, and not eating or drinking standing, is humility reflected in the sunnah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) ate seated on the floor; he did not eat or drink standing or while walking. This humble habit reminds us that food is a blessing and should be approached in a manner worthy of it. Sitting calmly at the table is good for both the body and the heart.
