Greeting the household as you enter your home brings blessing to it.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised entering the home by remembering Allah and then greeting the household. He told Anas that the greeting he gave upon entering to his family would be a blessing both for himself and for the household. Entering the home with a greeting is the most natural way to welcome the family with peace.
