Praying the Fajr Sunnah at Home

Praying the sunnah of Fajr at home and the obligatory prayer in congregation at the mosque was the Prophet's practice.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray the sunnah of Fajr briefly at home, then go out and lead the Fajr prayer at the mosque. He also taught that, apart from the obligatory prayers, the best prayer is the one a person offers at home. This practice is a beautiful way of turning the home, too, into a place where worship lives.
