Seeking Knowledge

Allah eases the path to Paradise for one who sets out in search of knowledge.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that Allah eases the way to Paradise for one who sets out in search of knowledge, and that such a person is counted as being in the way of Allah until he returns. At the request of the women, he set aside a separate day to teach them. In Islam, pursuing knowledge is like being in the way of Allah; to be content with ignorance is a disrespect to this value.
